"We celebrate the beautiful life of a beloved, daughter and sister, Raquel Muneca Monique Perez, who passed away on Oct. 2," her family said in an obituary they shared with Daily Voice.
Perez, 26, of Wilson Borough, died in a tragic crash when her vehicle struck a tree in the 5000 block of Route 309 in Heidelberg Township on Wednesday, Oct. 2. She was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 4:34 p.m. on the same day.
She was a charismatic, determined woman who was a "pure joy to be around," her family said. "Raquel, was a beacon of positivity and always knew how to lift our spirits. Her laugh was contagious, her sense of humor would put a smile on anyone’s face."
Raquel Perez is survived by her father Milton Perez; sisters Lisa Perez, Christina Perez, and Samantha Perez; a niece, McKenzie Perez; and two nephews Maverick Perez and Jaxon Perez.
A joyful celebration of her life will be held at Canaan Christian Church, located at 88 Frank Applegate Road, Jackson, New Jersey on Thursday, Oct. 24.
The celebration will last from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The family asks that those attending share their favorite stories about Perez to honor her memory.
